The Cauchari-Olaroz project is located in the heart of the Puna Plateau, the area where over 80% of the world’s lithium brine reserves are located. The area is also known as the "Lithium Triangle".

Lithium Nevada’s project is located in Humboldt County in northern Nevada, approximately 100 km north-northwest of Winnemucca. The project is spread over five mineralized lenses that extend approximately 30 kilometers from the southern to the northern edges of the lenses.
