Located in Salta, Argentina, the Pastos Grandes basin includes the 100%-owned Pastos Grandes project and the adjacent 65%-owed Sal de la Puna project. Lithium Americas acquired Pastos Grandes in December 2021 from Millennial Lithium, who invested over C$40 million to explore and develop the project. In April 2023, Lithium Americas acquired Sal de la Puna from Arena Minerals.
